How I've enjoyed sharing with you the goings on in our garden and allotment, the adventures of our little family, our love of being outside and spending time surrounded by nature; and then there are the crafts I have rediscovered a love for, and new ones found as many of you have seen on the blog. Thank you to everyone who has dropped by, it's lovely to pop online and see someone has left a comment, and even more lovely to pop along to other blogs and see what everyone has been up to and be inspired.
So today I have a little giveaway, I have put together a few of the things that bring me a lot of pleasure, so I hope they will you too. Simply leave a comment to enter and I shall pick a winner at random.
So what can you win?
Well I love growing plants and have many seeds. I am passionate about growing unusual and heritage varieties so there will be some of those, and some Oca tubers too so you can share the joy of these lovely easy to grow tubers.
I love my spinning and have a small easy top whorl drop spindle as part of the giveaway with a little fibre to get you going, great for kids too! (disclaimer: I accept no responsibility for any future fibre
I love reading and I have a copy of The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady by Edith Holden to pop in the giveaway too. This is a delightful book, a nature journal and is beautifully illustrated and the handwritten type-print is lovely too. Some other things may pop in the parcel too.
All you need to do is leave a comment by Mothers Day - 18th March 2012 (in the UK) and I shall draw a lucky winner. Do let me know if there is something within this giveaway that you already have, and I'll look at splitting the giveaway as necessary.
Thank you all for your online company and friendship xxx
Well done on 3 years of fab blogging Dawn. i have enjoyed all your posts and i hold you totally responsible for my fibre addiction :) (just kidding)
ReplyDeleteI was at the spinning group show on Saturday and bought a drop spindle, after a fairly intense tutorial, so I won't join in your generous giveaway this time. i have had some lovely things from you in the past too. xxx
Thank you Jacqui, I had wondered if you still went to your spinning group.
ReplyDeletehello dawn,
ReplyDeletei'm here from jacqui and have so enjoyed reading your posts, especially your 'seven days'. i keep forgetting to do this, and it's such a good idea.
i have only tried spinning once and a drop spindle never, but it's on my wish list. so thank you for offering this lovely giveaway.
xx lori
i forgot to say happy anniversary!
ReplyDeleteDear Dawn,

Linda
Happy Birthday to your Blog! I have found you via Spinspiration and your blog is always a lovely place to start the day!
ReplyDeleteAs for giveaway, I already have an old spinning wheel,so It's my duty to say that I'm not going to change the spinning method. But I will be very happy to win book or seeds.
What a lovely giveaway...happy 3 year anniversary.
ReplyDeleteMuch love
Congratulations on three years of blogging. I have really enjoyed all that you have shared with us, especially as your interests are so diverse (and in line with many of my interests!). Your dedication to preserving the heritage of many vegetables and growing things I have never heard of is wonderful, and I too hold you (partly) responsible for the explosion of wool and associated crafts in this house!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to be entered in your giveaway, but please let someone else have a chance at the drop spindle, and spread the woolly love further afield!
3 years of such a lovely blog :) I'd love to win your giveaway xxx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to a lovely lady. I've definitely loved sharing your journey as you know ;o).

Wow 3 years, well done on having such a fab blog for so long :-) I would love to give those lovely items a new home and the kids would adore having a go at spinning some yarn (I will blame you if I get addicted however :-)). x
ReplyDeleteLovely! Thanks for the chance. I'd love to try spinning.

Congratulations. Three years. Love the inspiration that your blog posts bring.
ReplyDeleteWe already have the book, but I'd love to join in with the rest of the giveaway. I know my eldest daughter would be chuffed if we won the drop spindle. Thanks for the chance.
I love you seed tin, it looks crammed full. Do you have any seed (preferably organic) recommendations for a still fairly novice gardener?
ReplyDeleteI was fairly oblivious last year about seed quality I just bought randomly at supermarkets.
Lisa.
Lovely to see you all, thank you for your messages.
ReplyDeleteLisa - for organic seeds I think Tamar Organics are brilliant, no frills on their packets and catalogue but online has the info. Germination rate is excellent from their seeds.
Organic Catalog and Real Seeds are other favourites here. I use a couple of other places but mostly for heritage varieties. Hope that helps.
Grow what you like to eat, or things that are more expensive in shops - leafy things are easy, beetroots and radish type things too.
Dawn x
Thank you so much for the info Dawn, I've had a look at Tamwar they look ideal.
ReplyDeleteLisa.
I'm too late for the giveaway but just wanted to congratulate you on three years of blogging. Wonderful prizes you're offering too.
ReplyDeleteOh thankyou Jo, sorry you were late for this one, maybe another giveaway in the future x
