Charity shop books

I love checking the charity shops for books, there are such great bargains there. Mostly I pick things up for Imogen but occasionally there is something for Alex or myself. One I picked up just the other day for 50p was this one - The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady by Edith Holden and it's just charming.
Here's a glimpse of a page for April, I just love the writing and the drawings.

I think I shall be dipping into this book over Easter, although I am currently reading Henry Allingham's book - Kitchener's Last Volunteer. I became interested in his life when I saw a documentary of him. It's a fascinating read, I would recommend it.
